GSIB MBA program structure
A message of the Dean

The diagram shows a steady growth in the students number that has stabilized in the past three years. A stable enrolment and an income increase are the School’s strategic principle. A decrease in 2000 was due to an extension of the duration of study needed to obtain a state MBA diploma. The smaller part of students graduated without that diploma, whereas the bigger one received it in 2001.

GSIB graduates are working on management posts in many companies, such as Bayer, CATERPILLAR Financial, Cisco Systems, DymlerCryslerRailSystems, Hewlett-Packard, Kellog Brown & Root Inc., Mars, Motorola, OSRAM Gmbh, Pepsi Bottling Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Sterling Group, VOLVO, Sukhoi Group, Bank of Russia, Vympelcom, Zarubezhneft, EurasHolding, East-line, Itera, Kasperski Laboratory, LukOIL, Ekho Moskvy Radio, Rosgosstrakh, Russkiy aluminiy, Rybinskiye motory, Severstal, Sedmoy kontinent, SuAL-Holding, Tatneft, and many others.

At the School outset, its alumni established the GSIB Alumni Association that had been fulfilling its charter aims up to 2002, enabling its members to keep up business contacts (regular meetings of various-year graduates) and ensure personal growth (seminars and training opportunities). But in 2004 a new organization was set up – the Russian MBA League sponsored by the GSIB and MIRBIS. It is an on-line community of top and medium-level managers who have the MBA degree or attend ÌÂÀ programs.

The League aims to unite best Russian and foreign managers holding the MBA degree to enable them to communicate, cooperate and grow professionally. It seeks to become an authoritative and independent source of information about MBA programs and business schools.

The League mission is to increase its membership capitalization. The high-tech and informal communication medium on the www.mba.su site enables MBA League members to share experience, consult each other and establish every-day and partnership contacts. The League organizes conferences, round tables, seminars and training sessions and distributes impartial and independent information about business education in Russia. It also gives expert recommendations, develops standards and promotes the professional growth of its members and a higher efficiency of their business.
